Includes description of his instruction in subjects such as navigation, signals, and bombing theory. Other topics include his trips home to Scotland while on leave; his experiences while learning to fly; his posting to Canada and to Turner Airfield in Albany, Ga., for flight training; correspondence with friends and family; and recreational time, generally spent watching movies and playing sports. Collection also includes a black-and-white photograph; RAF pin; WWII medal; and wings patch. Acquired as part of the William B. Hamilton Collection of British Manuscripts.
